Sharing information
The Campaign Against Canned Hunting shares information with other animal welfare organisations. For example, the effect of the new S.A. legislation on the culling of elephants.
Pro hunting organisations
There are some S.A. wildlife conservation organisations who are pro hunting, so that persons who support them are in effect supporting the hunting industry.

CNN inside africa
Much time is spent educating journalists and members of Parliament about the evils of captive breeding and trophy hunting. We ensure that by continually raising awareness, the issue remains prominent in the media.
Ethical holiday choices
The hunting industry is a threat to South Africa's trade and tourism. It tarnishes South Africa's image and reputation. Ethical tourists interested in seeing South African wildlife in their natural habitat do not want to take a photograph today of an exquisite wild animal knowing that tomorrow that animal may well be shot.
When booking their wildlife holiday, people would like to be able to make an informed choice of where to stay and be assured that their money is not going to support canned hunting or animal cruelty of any kind.
Mistakes
Mistakes made by other organisations in dealing with the canned lion industry are exposed. E.g. Vier Pfoten relocated Frida the Romanian lioness to a canned hunting facility in SA: Read the story. Animal Planet also mistakenly promoted the canned hunting industry on one of their programes. See the letter sent to Animal Planet which helped to get the program re-edited and the offensive material removed.
Exposing
The Campaign Against Canned Hunting also works to expose the massacre of S.A. wildlife by livestock farmers in the name of problem animal control. Read all about how farmers set gin traps (leg holds) and poison to destroy our wildlife indiscriminately.
Hunting
Canned hunting is now governed by new regulations which offer no protection whatever to lions or other predators.
The new regulations actually legalise canned hunting.
Even though the protection offered by the new regulations is illusory, as explained above, the S.A. Government passed an amendment in December 2007 excluding lions completely from the new regulations, leaving them without any protection whatsoever.
