Your next holiday can help to save our wildlife
Tourist dollars are propping up a massive hunting industry based on the exploitation, torture and killing of wild animals in South Africa. We're proving that there is a much better way.
About the centre
Check out some of our photos of the place as it stands (we'll keep updating this page as we build and develop the centre, so check back regularly):
If you are interested in coming out to visit us at some point in the future, why not take a look at this Google map of our position. Explore in Google Earth to get a feel for the ruggedly beautiful landscape of the Klein Karoo.
What type of animals are there?
Foxes, porcupines, springbok, aardvark, owls, eagles, tortoises, caracals and jackal are just some of the wildlife you are likely to meet. Check 'em out:
Why we need to raise funds
Now we need your help to raise funds for:
But, we don't expect you to give without getting something awesome in return...
Perks, benefits & prizes
We have some seriously cool stuff to offer you over a wide range of donation sizes from $25 to $150 000.
We are offering naming rights on the animals that come into the centre. How cool would it be to know that there is a porcupine somewhere in Africa named after you - and alive because of you?
In fact, help us build our infrastructure and we'll name camps and buildings in your honor. Get your business involved and we'll put up signage with your brand and logo on the camp your company helped fund.
Take a look down the right hand side of this page to explore what's on offer.
Terms & conditions
We are a registered section 21 (not for profit) charity raising funds to build a sustainable wildlife rescue and rehabilitation centre (called the Karoo Wildlife Centre) in the Klein Karoo, South Africa.
The proceeds of all donations will go directly and in full to the development of this project.
However, we will be posting plenty of pictures and videos to show off what your donations have helped to create. So if you do name an animal, or fund a particular piece of infrastructure, you'll be able to share pictures and clips of it with the whole world.
We also reserve the right, at our own discretion, to return donations from individuals, companies and organizations who we feel do not reflect the ethics and standards of CACH.
How crowdfunding works
We need your support. In return we're offering some really awesome perks.
Choose which perk you like best, make a donation, and we'll make it happen. *
